Boston Harbor Island and Light House Tours

Boston Harbor Islands offer something off the beaten path to do and see during the summer months. Park ferries serve George’s and Spectacle Islands and four other islands in the park.Decide which island you wish to visit; we recommend visiting no more than two per day. Passenger ferries leave from five locations.

A three-hour adventure begins with a boat cruise and narrated tour on a unique landing craft vessel through Boston Harbor Islands, where you will experience the rich history and geology of the islands with a National Park Service ranger. Climb down the boat's ladder right onto the cobbled beach of Little Brewster, and visit the first and oldest lighthouse site in the United States, and the last to retain a Coast Guard keeper. Climb the 76 steps in Boston Light's tower, and see the historic Fresnel lens and enjoy this unique and unforgettable view of Boston Harbor from its most recognized gateway. Tours depart from Fan Pier and Georges Island!
